Otters at Nelson Zoo.

Because we don't have Otters in the wild in New Zealand, we are quite fascinated by them and their antics. The seagull was living dangerously, the Otter soon charged at it and scared it away from the fishy dinner.

They sure are cute. Nice shot of the seagull and otter. Love the blue of the water. BJ

I don't think I saw this kind of animal when i went to the zoo in NZ! Is this a local animal or something like it? The zoo I went was in Auckland! :)

We have otters here in Michigan but I still have barely seen any of them. They are an interesting creature. It would be fun to see them in the water to see how fast they swim. Nice pictures by the way.

The otters are so cute - I love to watch them, too. :)

I love otters, and these are really cute pictures of one. They are native to Ireland, but I've never seen one in the wild (much to my disappointment) so it isn't only in New Zealand that they are a great zoo attraction. :)

The otter is one of my favorite mammals! Glad you have some there to enjoy, since they aren't native to your area.
